The month of March 2026 ushers in a new season, supported by the guidance of our inner spiritual journey. The Hermit is here to remind us to be the light— be the change we wish to see in the world, as the saying goes… and there is certainly a lot of change.
We begin the month with a Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse in Virgo on March 3rd (at 3:33am on the West coast). Eclipses are often wildly intense energies that tend to figure prominently around leaders, empires, and global power dynamics. This takes place in the midst of Mercury retrograde in Pisces, which lasts until March 20th.. and also happens to be Spring Equinox (the astrological new year) AND the same day the Sun enters Aries. Needless to say, a lot of change happening in the universe! But the Hermit brings a slow & measured tone to offset this pace.
You may find yourself reflecting on the passage of time; be mindful to remember what you have learned along the way. Last year, 2025, was known as the year of The Hermit—a time where many of us experienced profound spiritual exploration and healing. For many, there was new territory to discover, and it required sometimes difficult and painful work on a spiritual and emotional level.
This month, in 2026, we bring those discoveries to light and utilize them as a beacon for good. A source of hope and light. Yes, there is a weariness that is felt as we realize that there is a long road ahead. But what we have learned about ourselves can now be applied as one of our greatest assets.
2026 is going to ask a lot of us. It’s going to test us in new ways, different than last year or even previous years. So we mustn’t lose sight of our destined purpose, and the knowledge we are bringing along with us. Because the challenges we have faced (and will face) are not in vain. They also serve a purpose— a tool of navigation to help us see our way in the darkness.
So ask yourself, what your destined purpose is in this next chapter. What light do you bring to the world, and how can you share that with others? What supports do you need along the way? The Hermit brings ancient wisdom to guide you, so don’t be afraid to also turn to your ancestors and spirit guides for direction.
This is a month to truly step onto the path and embrace your spiritual gifts. If you find yourself needing to step away to gain a greater perspective on what is being asked of you, this might be a good month to do so.
